This site is generated from government data feeds. Errors reach it three ways: the upstream source is wrong, our mapping of the source is wrong, or a generated summary says something the bill text doesn't support.

Reporting one

Every bill, vote, and legislator page has a Report an issue link at the bottom. It takes a category and an optional description. You don't need an account and we don't store your address — reports are logged against a one-way hash of your IP purely to catch duplicate submissions.

What happens next

• A report on a bill page immediately flags that bill's generated summary. The page falls back to the official summary within minutes, before any human has looked at it.
• Reports land in an internal review queue and are read.
• If the error is upstream, we correct our display and note the discrepancy; we can't change the source.

Things that look like errors but aren't

• A vote showing "Failed" at 55–45. Senate cloture votes need 60. See what cloture is.
• A bill stuck in committee for months. That's the ordinary outcome for most bills, not a data gap.
• A state page with few bills. Legislatures are out of session for much of the year, and we refresh states on a rotation.
